The program is named for U.S. Senator and Madisonville native Estes Kefauver and helps provide scholarships to students with an interest in public service. As a result of this program, two lucky Tennessee high school students (one from Monroe County, another from anywhere in Tennessee) will receive a full ride to Hiwassee College—tuition, room and board.
The evening is always a fun-filled event, with live music, a social hour, silent auction, dancing and other entertainment. Better yet, the proceeds from the auction will go toward funding a very worthy cause—investing in the future of a child.
